A Philosophical Look at Time

What is time? From our perspective, it moves in one direction. We can measure seconds passing with a clock. Forward is the only direction we seem to move in time.

Why then does time seem to pass at different rates depending on how much time we have experienced or what kind of mood we are in?

We appear to live in a 3D world, but if our reality is made up of more dimensions, we wouldn’t notice those extra dimensions as 3D creatures, but we may still be traveling in those other dimensions.

So then, is all time happening at once? Past, present, and future all existing as one moment.

I think so.

If all time is happening at once, then we only have one time—the present. That’s what we should be focused on, because trying to focus on the past and future can make us unwell. Worrying about the past can make us depressed. Staying focused on the future often leads to anxiety. We are 3D lifeforms trying to look into a 4D direction.

Let’s focus on here and now—let the higher-dimension lifeforms worry about there and then.
